We are often asked how a pressure transducer should be calibrated.
If your system is set up such that you have indicators and transducers and they are all interchangeable, then get your pressure transducers calibrated independently of the system. Be sure to get your indicators or readouts calibrated as well. By calibrating all units independently, they can be interchanged as needed.
If your system is set up such that your indicators and transducers are never separated, then get them calibrated as a system. It’s less expensive and, typically, the system can be optimized to reduce measurement error.
